Volunteers Needed for Physics Olympics, Saturday, February 19
WKU’s Physics and Astronomy Department hosts the annual Western Kentucky Physics Olympics on Saturday February 19. This year’s theme is Physical Connections. The description of the events and the schedule can be found at the following link: Western Kentucky Physics Olympics.
As the registration is still open, we are not sure how many teams will be participating, but we anticipate needing the help of twenty or more volunteers for everything to go as planned, and ask you to join us that day. If you are interested in volunteering, please email me at jasminka.terzic@wku.edu. If any of the faculty plan to have their students help us, make sure to have your students email me directly.
We will need volunteers to come at 7:30 am so that we can be ready before registration starts at 8:00 am. Lunch will be served for those who can stay through the entire competition. It will be wonderful if some volunteers can stay past the award ceremony (scheduled for 1 p.m.) to help put-away and clean everything from the events.
Thank you,
Jasminka Terzic
