Nominations for Humphrey Award for Service

Requirements

At the time of the nomination, the nominee must be enrolled as an undergraduate at WKU, preferably a Physics major, Astronomy/Biophysics minor, and/or member of one of the three WKU Physics and Astronomy student organizations: the Society of Physics Students, Women in Physics, and the Hilltoppers Astronomy Club.  The nomination must detail the student’s exemplary performance in the area of service to the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Award Details

An awards committee of faculty and staff from the Department of Physics and Astronomy will judge all complete nominations submitted by the deadline and select a winner who will receive a framed certificate at the annual Ogden College Awards Ceremony.

Nomination Deadline

Nominations are expected from each of the three student club advisors (WiP, SPS and HAC), and additional nominations can come from any member of the faculty or staff.  Each club should forward candidate names for nomination to their faculty advisor.  Please direct any questions about this award to ali.er@wku.edu. Submit the application as a single MS Word or PDF file to ali.er@wku.edu by the deadline, which is at 11:59pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
