WKU WiP

I hope you have had a great start to your semester! My name is Jordyn Hurley and I am a physics and chemistry major here at WKU with a concentration in pre-medicine. Alex Driehaus and I are working on starting a Women in Physics (WiP) Club here at WKU!

Our vision and mission are to encourage participation and recruitment of women and other represented groups in physics (all are welcome!). Members will be given the chance to hold leadership positions, participate in journal club, hear from various physicists in the industry, and attend field trips. Currently, we have a few officer positions that need to be filled if you are looking for a leadership opportunity.

WKU WiP plans on holding meetings at the beginning of each month. Our first meeting will take place in the SPS room (on the second floor of KTH) on February 4th at 5:00 pm. You can also join the meeting via zoom at the link below. We hope to see you there!
