Summer Internship Opportunities
Summer research internships are a great way to build your resume for graduate school or help you focus your scientific career. Two opportunities that have recently been shared with the department are:
- College of Wooster – research in nonlinear dynamics, granular materials, pattern formation, quantum optics, and celestial mechanics, among other topics; $6k stipend; applications due February 29
- University of Notre Dame – research in astronomy/astrophysics, condensed matter, high-energy physics, nuclear physics, and physics education, among other topics; $5k stipend + free housing; applications due February 20
Many others can be found on the National Science Foundation’s Research Experiences for Undergraduates website. Some applications are due as early as February 1st, so act now if you are interested!
