Minutes for March SPS meeting

SPS Spring Picnic
–This Saturday! March 19 12-4pm at Keriakis Park
–There will be an Easter egg hunt!!!
–Bring any sides or desserts you desire along with cornhole, frisbees, etc.
–Rain date is April 2

HAC Star Party
–This Saturday! March 19 7-9pm
–Meet in TCCW lobby
–Bring your camera for astro-photography opportunities!

SPS Physics Public Night–Studying Projectiles with Bottle Rockets (not the fireworks)
–Next Wednesday March 23 at 7pm
–Need volunteers to help and to organize activities!
–Email Suzanna (or leave a note in the Astro-Lab) if you have ideas or you want to volunteer your services.
–We will need LOTS of volunteers for this!

SPS Physics Fun Night–Superheroes
–Next Friday March 25
–Bring any snacks or games, etc, that you want
–Dress up as your favorite superhero for an added element of fun!

SPS Banquet
–April 29 at 6pm at the Cambridge Market
–More info to come

SPS Zone 8 Meeting
–April 22 & 23 at Morehead State
–Can present research (first call for abstracts is out)
–Let officers know if you have interest in attending as soon as possible!

Open Lab Day at UK
–UK, in wanting to improve communication between clubs, is hosting an “Open Lab” Day April 8 (and, tentatively) 9
–Let officers know if you have interest in attending as soon as possible!

Girls In Science Day
–Saturday April 16
–Still need student volunteers
–Email Dr. Rachel Campbell if you can help! (Free lunch and t-shirt involved)

Science Olympiad
–Saturday April 30
–Will need MANY volunteers for this!
