Opportunity to Meet Two-Thirds of the 3G Network
Most of you should know that WKU has recently hired a new Provost, Dr. Gordon Emslie, and a new Vice-President for Research, Dr. Gordon Baylis. Dr. Emslie and Dr. Baylis are currently in the middle of a listening tour to all academic departments. The purpose of the listening tour is for faculty to have the opportunity to share with both Dr. Emslie and Dr. Baylis concerns or new ideas they have for WKU and what WKU can do to help the department. Dr. Emslie and Dr. Baylis would like to provide students with the same opportunity. They would like to hear from the students on what their concerns/new ideas are and what WKU can do to help them be successful while they are here.
Dr. Emslie and Dr. Baylis will be providing students two different opportunities to talk with them. Below are the dates, times and locations of those two meetings. This is your opportunity to share with the new Provost and VP for Research what you would like to see happen at WKU and to share with them what has worked and what hasn’t. Below are the following dates and times. They will offer opportunities to meet at two different locations and at two different times in hopes of drawing more students.
Tuesday, October 5th from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in MMTH Auditorium
AND
Wednesday, October 27th from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Garrett Auditorium
If students prefer not to speak or are afraid to ask questions at the forum, but would like to send comments and/or questions to be addressed they may do so. They can send their comments/questions to Academic.Affairs@wku.edu. Submitted questions and comments will be made available to both Dr. Emslie and Dr. Baylis a couple of days prior to the mtg so that they may look through them.
