We are converting a 3-meter (10-foot) home satellite receiving system into a radio telescope that WKU students and faculty can use to explore the "invisible" Universe for education, research training, and public outreach. When completed, the telescope will be set up in a rural location and used to perform a range of experiments using the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, and assorted bright supernova remnants, ionized nebulae, and active galaxies at centimeter wavelengths. We also plan to observe the motions of hydrogen gas in our own Milky Way Galaxy.
