Educational Radio Astronomy at WKU
Radio Astronomy is an excellent educational tool for
a wide array of topics, including
the physics of waves and radiation,
electricity and magnetism,
data representation and analysis,
and
the motions and behaviors of the Earth and other
heavenly bodies,
to name but a few.
At Western Kentucky University, we are pursuing several hands-on educational
radio astronomy projects that, in parallel with scientific research, give our
students a well-grounded experience in preparing for a scientific career.
