Neutral Hydrogen Absorption Toward H II Regions in the Perseus Arm

Canadian Galactic Plane Survey H I data are used to examine the flow and evolution of material through the Perseus spiral arm, with particular reference to the `two arm spiral shock' (TASS) model of Roberts (1972). Evidence for multiple shock regions is found.
