Student feedback

Students have had both strong positive and negative reactions to  the course.  A sample from Fall 2003 SITE evaluations:

Dr. Bonham is one of those teachers that makes physics fun and semi-easy to understand.  He is always willing to help /answer QS and rephrase things as needed.  He has an awesome hands on teaching style and I wish he taught phys 2 and so on.  He makes a hard subject fun, and as in most classes, the teacher makes/breaks the class.  He 'makes' it.  I would take another class taught by Dr. Bonham in a second.  His interest in effective teaching is obvious.  Thank Dr. Bonham!

This class has been a great disappointment for me.  This is a required class and I have to have more physics classes in the future and I feel very unprepaired for those because of Dr. Bonham's teaching style.  This class has been mostly computer based withc prevents much feedback about my work or progress.  Since this has been a largely computer based Dr. Bonham has taken a very "figure it out yourself attitude."  When I have come to him with questions I am only met with questions and very few answers.  I feel this professor is heighly ineffective and is having a very negative effect on those who have to take more physics in the future.  I hope that in the future students will have a choice of 201 proffessors.
