Undergraduate and Graduate
Students can join APS for 1 year for free. For more information, click here.
Undergraduate and Graduate Student Travel Grants
Travel support will be available this year for students in the geographical region encompassed by SESAPS who are also members of SESAPS. (Once you are a member of the APS, joining SESAPS is free; go to the SESAPS main web site and click on "Join This Unit" from the right hand column.) Undergraduate and graduate students who are first author on research papers in a SESAPS (not SPS) session are eligible for modest travel grants. The total funds available will be about $8,750 with a maximum grant of $350 to a single individual. We hope that this will provide encouragement to those students considering the submission of a paper. Please complete the form below and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight, CT, one week after the abstract deadline. Also required is a brief e-mail message of support from the student's advisor, sent to the e-mail address above.
Undergraduate and Graduate Talk and Poster Contest
If you wish to submit a poster or give a talk at SESAPS 2013, please submit your abstract at the APS website. If you are not a member of the American Physical Society (required for abstract submission) and do not intend to join at this time, please ask a faculty member at your institution to submit your abstract, listing you as the presenting author.
Note: Posters should be NO LARGER THAN 4 feet by 6 feet. Push pins will be provided at the conference site.
