The Student Planning Manual is a document that is
intended to help majors in the Department of Physics and Astronomy with
issues such as planning their academic program, filing an undergraduate
degree program, and getting involved in undergraduate research
activities. The Student Planning Manual should serve as a guide
to help answer questions about your academic program. However, please realize that there is no substitute for talking with your
academic advisor regarding these types of issues.
There are four versions of the planning manual available
at this location. They all contain exactly the same information.
The first version is optimized for presentation on a computer screen.
It is much smaller and should be the version downloaded for normal use. The
press version is optimized for printing a final copy suitable for
reproduction. It should only be downloaded when creating such an
original is the desired goal. This file is nearly 3 MB in size.
The last version is the original Planning Manual document in Microsoft
Word format. These links open in a new window.
The Student Planning Manual is stored in
Adobe's Postscript Document Format (PDF) and will require that you have
the free Adobe Acrobat Reader Software installed on your computer.
If you do not have Acrobat Reader you can download it from Adobe's web site
