The NI ELVIS II workbench environment is accessed with a number of virtual software instruments called soft front panels. These applications are selected from a menu application called the NI ELVISmx Instrument Launcher.
You can use this software on the departmental computers in the laboratory or you can install the required ELVISmx software on your personal Windows computer. To download and install ELVISmx on your own computer visit the following link.
The above installer will also install a set of drivers for data acquisition called DAQmx. Unfortunately, the version it installs (19.0) has a bug that causes the SCOPE inputs on our ELVIS II devices to not work properly. So, after installing the ELVISmx package above please install the later version of DAQmx below that solves this issue.
